Happy Swiss National Day!

August 1st is a big day for us here in Switzerland. First, it is Abram's birthday! It is also Switzerland's national day, so Jacob gets the day off work and there are fireworks and celebrations throughout the country.

Thanks to my mom for saving the traditional outfits.
A less enthusiastic photo.
And 26 years ago, my brother Frank and me in Germany wearing the same outfits.
A snapshot of ChloƩ as she goes across the street to church. I can finally do french braids with her hair.
A few pictures after church. Setting up.
The best one we got.
Happy August 1st!

Happy Swiss National Day! I was a student in Switzerland 10 years ago. Missing the country. Have fun and enjoy fireworks!

So cute that you dressed up your kids in the outfits - thanks for scanning in that photo - I'll be sure to steal that one.

Jessi, I love Chloe's hair in braids - she looks so cute and the braids fit the outfit so well. What a special thing to have the outfits you and your brother wore! Awesome Mom!!
